Career Journey in Art, Design and Media: Inspiring Seminar Held

Our Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture hosted a meaningful event that brought together students interested in the media sector with one of the experienced names in the sector. The seminar titled “Career in Design-Oriented Media Sectors: The Power of Narrative, Visual Communication and Communication Skills”, in which TRT Radio Program Producer and Presenter Zeynep Bayraktutan participated as a speaker, was held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at the Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Conference Hall with a large turnout.

In the seminar, Bayraktutan shared the ever-changing and evolving structure of the media sector with the participants and touched on the decisive effects of effective narrative techniques, strong visual communication and communication skills on careers. In his presentation, which he enriched with examples from his own professional journey, he both inspired and provided guiding information to students aiming for a career in the media.

Participants gained valuable information about narrative power and visual communication strategies, and had the opportunity to gain a comprehensive perspective on the sector through current developments in the media world and professional experiences.

Answering questions from students at the end of the seminar, Bayraktutan encouraged young people by sharing tips on building a successful career in the media sector. The event attracted great interest from students and academics, and it was once again demonstrated how beneficial such events organized within our faculty are.
